In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, we have been celebrating with some of our favorite recipes.
Hispanic Heritage month was made an official 30 day celebration back in 1988. Before that it was known as Hispanic Week starting in the late 1960’s.
Every year it starts on September 15th and runs through October 15th. September 15th was selected as the start of the celebration as it was the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence back in the 1800s. The 30 days holds many significant dates for various parts of the Hispanic community.
There are many great ways to celebrate the month, including cooking and enjoying different foods. Here are our favorite mouth-watering recipes that we’ve enjoyed while celebrating the month.
