Whether it’s a chilly day, a low-key evening or a day that you’re hosting friends or family, fondue is the ultimate easy-to-make recipe that brings everyone together. It’s a delicious dish that can be customized by breaking boundaries and getting fancy! If you’re hosting a last-minute party and want to keep it simple and stress-free, line up 2-3 different fondues with a variety of dippable sides such as vegetables, fruits, breads and prepared or cured meats.
The main ingredient which serves as the base of cheese fondue recipes is of course our personal favorite, cheese, cheese and more cheese!
Some tips and tricks to keep in mind when serving fondue(s):
- Reusable fondue forks are perfect for dipping, but if you don’t have any not to worry. Reusable skewers work great too.
- In order to ensure the fondue stays warm, electric fondue pots are ideal. The great part about fondue pots are that most of them come with fondue forks within the set. If you don’t have these pots, then keeping fondues warm in small slow cookers or a slow cooker buffet works nearly as well.
- Silicone trivet mats should always be placed on the serving table or countertop below the pots/cookers that the fondue is being heated in to prevent damage to the table or countertop.
- Display a variety of vegetables, fruits, breads and prepared meats for dipping on various serving platters. Some of our favorites are broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, apples, pears, grilled chicken, salami, soppressata and steak.
