French Fry Boards, The Latest in Charcuterie

Rumor has it that a French fry board is the new charcuterie board. Nothing will ever top a classic charcuterie board for us, but the French fry board comes pretty close! An entertaining board fit for any occasion, whether it’s an evening at home with family or friends or backyard barbeque. We don’t need a special time to cook up this savory show-stopper in our house!

 

What makes our board really stand out are the dips. Of course, we have ketchup and mustard, but we also have three delectable cheese and sour cream dips! That’s right, a French fry board filled with flavorful cheesy goodness.

Now, let’s get cooking!

THE FRIES

You always want a variety of French fries on the board as it adds different textures and flavors.

 

THE DIPS

SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE DIP
A finger dipping a fry in mayo, adding a tangy twist to the classic snack.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter in a small sauce-pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour once the butter is melted.
  3. Whisk the milk into the mixture. Turn up the heat and whisk the milk until the mixture thickens.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese until it is melted into the sauce.
  5. Once melted, stir in the salt. Taste and adjust as needed.

  4. Stir in the cheese until it is melted into the sauce.
  5. Once melted, stir in the taco seasoning.
  6. Top it off by sprinkling on some of the Mexican cheese blend.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, 1 teaspoon chives and a pinch of sugar. Mix well.
  2. Garnish the dip with the leftover chives for serving.
