For Burgers

1 1/2 pounds ground chicken breast

3 green onions, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon paprika

2 teaspoons ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For Yogurt Sauce

1 cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped

2 teaspoons ground cumin

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

To Serve

Naan bread or hamburger rolls

Cucumber, thinly sliced

Cilantro leaves

Red onion, thinly sliced

Preparation

01Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine chicken, green onion, ginger, lemon juice and spices in medium mixing bowl and mix well. Form into 4 patties.
02Mix all yogurt sauce ingredients in small bowl and set aside.
03Cook chicken burgers on grill about 5 minutes per side, until chicken is cooked through. Toast naan bread or buns on the grill during last 2 minutes.
04Top the burgers with yogurt sauce, sliced cucumbers, red onion, and cilantro.
