Ingredients for Seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 tablespoon taco seasoning
1 teaspoon oregano
Ingredients for Black Bean Patty
2 cups black beans, drained and rinsed if using a can
01In a small bowl, mix all of the seasonings and set aside.
02In a large bowl, use a fork to mash the beans until they are broken down. Leave some texture so they aren't a smooth paste.
03Add the bell peppers, onion, jalapeno, habanero, and garlic to the bowl with the beans.
04Mix in your seasonings and breadcrumbs to the bean mixture. Add your desired amount of salt and black pepper. Then add in the cream cheese and mix well.
05Once everything is combined, make 6 large burger patties.
