Ingredients for Donuts

1/4 cup butter (melted)

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ingredients for Cinnamon Sugar Topping

1/2 cup butter (melted)

1 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cinnamon

Ingredients for Chocolate Sauce

1/2 cup milk

4 ounces chocolate chips

Preparation

01Preheat oven to 350 F and prep donut tray with cooking spray or oil.
02Melt the butter for the donut batter and let cool.
03Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
04In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
05Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and fold together with a spatula until just combined.
06Using a spoon, fill each donut cavity about 3/4 of the way full.
07Cook for 10-12 minutes or when the donuts spring back when you lightly press on them.
08Melt the butter for the topping and combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
09Let the donuts cool in the tray for about 3-5 minutes, then remove from pan. Brush each donut with butter and cover with a layer of the cinnamon sugar topping.
10Make the chocolate sauce by adding the milk and chocolate chips to a saucepan on low heat. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
11Serve donuts warm with sauce.
