Ingredients for Gingerbread Syrup
1 cup water
1/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

6 cups milk
4 tablespoons Gingerbread Syrup
4 cinnamon sticks, optional
whipped cream, optional
01To make the gingerbread syrup, in a small saucepan, combine all ingredients, stirring until combined.
02Over medium heat, bring mixture to a slow boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent from spilling over.
03Transfer to an airtight container, allow to cool. Unused syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks. Make sure to shake before each use.
04To make the gingerbread steamer, combine the milk and gingerbread syrup in a medium saucepan on medium/low heat, stirring until warm. Use a frothing wand to froth the milk. Alternatively, you can add mixture to a blender and froth it that way as well.
05Divide into 4 cups or mugs and top with whipped cream, a cinnamon stick, and dust with ground cinnamon and ginger.
