About Creamy Baked Spinach & Artichoke Christmas Tree

This festive appetizer takes the beloved flavors of spinach and artichoke dip and transforms them into a pull-apart tree-shaped pastry that’s as fun to look at as it is to eat. Layers of creamy spinach-artichoke filling are tucked between sheets of puff pastry, twisted into “branches,” and baked to golden perfection. The warm, cheesy filling will have guests reaching for branches of the tree for instant satisfaction. It’s perfect for holiday gatherings when you want something easy to share and equally impressive on the table.

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella

1/2 cup grated Parmesan

1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, chopped

1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt & pepper to taste

1 sheet refrigerated puff pastry

1 egg (for egg wash)

Preparation

01Preheat oven to 400F.
02Mix all dip ingredients in a bowl.
03Roll out puff pastry and cut into two large triangles (tree shape).
04Spread dip mixture on one triangle, top with the other, and cut slits for branches. Twist branches.
05Brush with egg wash and bake for 25–30 mins until golden.
06Serve with crackers if desired.
