Chocolate Cherry Overnight Oats

Ingredients

1 cup chocolate milk

3 tablespoons chia seeds

1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

10 cherries, pits removed, chopped

1/4 cup granola, divided

2 teaspoons (optional) maple syrup, divided

Preparation

01In a small storage container or jar with a 2-cup capacity, stir together chocolate milk, chia seeds, and oats. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
02Stir in the cherries, then divide the oats between 2 serving dishes. Top each dish with granola and, if desired, maple syrup. Serve immediately or store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to three to four days.
03Chia seeds are incredible! They are hydrophilic, which means they hold water and in fact they can hold about ten times their weight. This is why you can transform chocolate milk into a pudding-like texture with chia seeds. Plus they deliver fiber and unsaturated fats to help support your gut health and keep you full.
