Ingredients for Pancakes

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups milk

3 large apples, peeled and sliced

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup water

Preparation

01To make the pancakes, start by combining flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
02In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
03Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
04Grease a griddle or pan with butter or cooking spray. Cook the pancakes over medium heat, adding a ¼ cup of batter at a time. Flip the pancakes when the edges are set and bubbles form on the top. Cook until both sides are a light golden brown color.
05To make the apples, peel and slice the apples.
06Add butter to a medium-sized pan over medium heat. Once the butter is fully melted, add in the apples and cook until they have softened, but aren’t too tender.
07Add the water and cinnamon sugar mixture. Stir and continue to cook the apples for a few more minutes, making sure that the apples don’t get too soft or mushy.
08Serve pancakes warm and top with a scoop of freshly- baked apples.
