Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream

2 tablespoons sugar

4 1/2 cups brewed strong coffee, kept hot

2 1/4 cups milk

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

3/4 cup Irish whisky (optional)

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg

Preparation

01Whisk heavy cream and sugar together in large bowl until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
02Fill 6 large mugs each with 3/4 cup coffee, 3 ounces milk, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 3 ounces whisky (if using). Stir to combine.
03Top with whipped cream and nutmeg. Serve and enjoy. Tip: Substitute Irish whisky for 2 tablespoons Irish cream syrup to create a non-alcoholic Irish coffee!
