About No-Churn Matcha Ice Cream

This No-Churn Matcha Ice Cream recipe is one of our favorites treats for a hot summer afternoon! Made with just a few simple ingredients it’s the perfect balance of creamy, flavorful, and refreshing.  The star ingredient is matcha powder! Matcha is a type of green tea that is ground into a fine powder.  It has a rich, earthy flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the condensed milk and heavy cream.

 

Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons matcha powder (for a stronger matcha flavor, add 1 additional tablespoon)

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation

01Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer with the whisk attachment on high speed, whip the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, matcha powder, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form, about 2 to 3 minutes.
02Pour the mixture into a 1½ quart ice cream tub or a 5-by-9-inch loaf pan. Place in the freezer and chill for at least 6 hours or overnight.
